THANK YOU!!
When we started planning and organising this event, we never expected such a turnout, such generousity, such a heartwarming response.
From cash, cheque and proceeds from the flea market so far, collections add up to just over $11,000. This does not include the donations from jugs of beer from the Handle Bar. As we type this, the jugs continue to be sold.
With our grateful tears in our eyes, we would like to thank everyone for all their support, financial contributions and love.
We'll continue to keep you all updated on fundraising efforts and contributions.
Thank you all for your generous donations and support. This event has gone beyond all our expectations and hopes. Specifically, we would like to extend our appreciation to Handle Bar, Chris and Jan,for hosting this event without charge and for their donations ($5 for every jug of beer sold tonight), to the Lighthouse Club for their cheque of $5,000, all our friends, friends of friends, regulars of Handle Bar, Kangoo Club, acquaintances, colleagues, simply everyone. This would not have been possible without everyone chipping in.
Medical fees at the moment stand at almost $30,000 and counting. We hope to continue in this fundraising effort for Kit and his family. Further contributions can be made to:
